Zuhair, a seasoned entrepreneur with 25 years of diverse experience in fields of consumer marketing, construction, insurance and pensions, IT, cyber-security, human resources, and management consulting has launched several successful businesses in the Middle East since 2007 that he continues to oversee.
Zuhair is viewed as an expert in organization development, re-engineering and process optimization. He strongly believes that “process makes perfect”. Leaders of other organizations consult him and seek ideas on how-to-best optimize productivity and efficiency in their own organizations and also to turn their corporations into centers of in-house learning and leadership development for their employees.
Zuhair enjoys participating in fast-paced, complex and uncharted environments. His efforts are focussed on “what is right” rather than on “what is easy or convenient”. He gets to the crux of every issue by paying rapt attention to the problem presented and coming forth with insightful questions in situations of little clarity or precedent. He is to be relied upon in times of crisis, time constraint or brainstorming to connect the dots from diverse points of information. While offering creative suggestions to approach complex issues, he always seeks to leverage the best from the status quo. With extensive personal and business networks throughout the Middle East and North America, Zuhair is ideally placed to be a “connector” for any enterprises he is involved with.
Zuhair’s latest project is EQRAZ Inc. Founded by him in 2020. EQRAZ is poised to offer Canadian retail and corporate clients the first institutional-class interest-free, Islamic and Participation Financing Products. After a personal study of the concepts of interest-free and Islamic finance, he has developed and approved a “first-of-its-kind” product in Canada from its first principles.
By education, Zuhair is an actuary, chemical engineer, and MBA, educated at the Imperial College of Science, Technology & Medicine, UK and at HEC Paris, Qatar – both of which institutions are included in Global top 10 rankings in their respective academic fields.
